Semester marksheets a student can actually prove

A student applying for a scholarship, an internship, a lateral-entry transfer or a master's programme abroad is asked for semester marksheets. What they have is a PDF or a photocopy — and whoever receives it has no way to confirm it, so the request lands back on your examination section.

A QR-verifiable statement of marks fixes both ends. The student sends a document that proves itself; the recipient checks it in seconds; nobody emails your office.

The gap nobody covers

Degrees and consolidated mark statements increasingly reach DigiLocker and the National Academic Depository. Individual semester marksheets usually do not — and those are the ones students need mid-course, when a scholarship deadline or an application is live. That gap is why marksheets are among the most commonly forged academic documents in India.

What an issued marksheet contains

  • Student name, enrolment number, programme and semester
  • Course code, title, credits, grade and grade points for each subject
  • Total credits, SGPA, CGPA and result
  • A QR code and certificate ID linking to a permanent verification page

It fits the way your exam section already works

Your ERP or spreadsheet already holds the results. Export a CSV, upload it, and the whole cohort issues at once — one marksheet per student, each with its own verification page. No re-typing, and no new system for your staff to learn.

Why make it verifiable?

A certificate that’s just a PDF can be edited, copied, or faked in seconds. Every certificate issued with QRCertificates carries a unique QR code and short code that resolve to a free public verification page. Each credential is Ed25519-signed, so changing a single character — a name, a date, a grade — breaks verification. No login, no app, no blockchain, and verification is free forever.

FAQ

Are semester marksheets not already in DigiLocker?

Final degrees and consolidated statements are commonly pushed to DigiLocker and NAD. Individual semester marksheets frequently are not, especially at private and autonomous institutions — which is exactly where students get stuck proving mid-course results.

What appears on the verification page?

The student name, programme, semester and result summary, along with the issue date and whether the record is still valid. The details are cryptographically signed at issue.

Can we issue a whole cohort at once?

Yes. Export a CSV from your examination system with a row per student — subjects, credits, grades, grade points and SGPA — and issue the entire batch in one upload.

Can we use our own marksheet design?

Yes. Upload your institution’s layout and we position the fields with you, including the QR block.
